Mirror and window
The inspiration for this project came from a moment of unexpected connection during an underground train ride, where there was no signal, leaving me disconnected from my phone and increasingly frustrated. With nothing else to do, I began observing the strangers around me. Eventually, my gaze landed on the reflection in the train’s window, and I was startled to see what appeared to be two of me. The person sitting next to me, though of a different race and appearance, mirrored my expression and posture so closely that it felt like a glimpse into a parallel reality. Even the details of our clothing had uncanny similarities. This surreal experience sparked a desire to capture such moments on film, exploring the intriguing notion of hidden connections and reflections in everyday life, especially in those spaces where we often feel the most isolated.
